Mike and Theresa Adams

Kountry Kitchen is a historical icon in Ramona, known for its delicious meals made from fresh ingredients and served with friendly hospitality. The exact details of its founding were unknown until 2019, when original owner Val revealed the story of how she and a close friend left a previous restaurant where they did not get along with the new owners and opened the Kountry Kitchen in the current location. The "caf" side was originally a coffee shop, while the "dining room" side used to be a men's shoe store. As the Kitchen grew, they rented out the entire space.

Val moved to Hemet to be with family within five years of opening the Kitchen and subsequently sold it to other owners, including Doreen, Ginny, Sara, and now Theresa and Mike Adams, who purchased it in August of 2010. Today, Kountry Kitchen is proud to have a highly valued and talented staff that provides great hospitality, high-quality food, and amazing service that customers rave about on Google, Yelp, and Facebook.

Hmmmm

At our restaurant, we believe in doing things differently. We don't cut corners or take shortcuts when it comes to our food. We take the time to make everything from scratch, using the best ingredients and our own unique recipes.

The Difference is in the Details

Our gravy is a perfect example of this. We don't rely on pre-made mixes or canned ingredients. Instead, we start with a roux and real pork sausage, cooking it down to create a rich and flavorful gravy that perfectly complements our dishes.

When it comes to our chicken fried steak, we take the same care and attention to detail. We cut and bread the steak ourselves, using our own recipe that's been perfected over time. The result is a crispy, juicy, and delicious dish that our customers can't get enough of.

We don't stop there. We make our own fresh corned beef and hash, using high-quality ingredients and our own special blend of spices. Our soups are made from scratch every day, with fresh vegetables and seasonings. And our pies and bread pudding? We make those the old-fashioned way, taking the time to craft each one by hand.

The End Result

Sure, it takes a little more time and effort to do things the way we do. But we believe that the end result speaks for itself. Our food is fresh, flavorful, and made with love. So come on in and experience the difference for yourself. We guarantee you won't be disappointed.
